Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a complimentary therapy that has its origins in Traditional Chinese Medicine and based on the premise that your body knows what it needs to heal itself (just like it heals itself automatically after a cut). In Kinesiology, each major muscle has a corresponding organ relationship and the Chinese meridian and acupressure system is incorporated in an assessment and session. Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring techniques via the body’s feedback systems to access information about a person’s wellbeing. Through muscle monitoring it locates where in the body you are holding onto stress that is inhibiting your body’s natural internal life enhancing potential.

Kinesiology looks at the person as a “whole” taking into consideration the physical, emotional, mental, biochemical and nutritional aspects of health and wellbeing.

The human body is a network of energy systems. Kinesiology is energetic medicine. It uses the philosophies of energy flow from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM says that when the body is stressed (either from everyday stresses or stress from the past), energy flow can be disrupted or blocked causing illness and disease. Kinesiology can pin point where the imbalances are that may be causing the physical or emotional state that you are in and help correct energy flow so that the body can heal itself.
